Looking back at 2015 and the way forward

Hello and a very Happy New Year to you and family from me and our fast growing, enthusiastic team at Gallopper!

Phew! What a year it has been. When we began Gallopper in late 2014, we had a vision of building a collaborative community of professionals and organisations in the construction and development sector. We had trials and tribulations along the way and failed on a few counts, but overall at the end of 2015, we feel we have achieved much more that we set out to do this year. We owe so much of that to you and others like you. Thank you so much.

TalksGALLOPPER TALKS
In March 2015, we piloted our flagship program “Gallopper Talks”, which are a series of 2 hour evening programs, comprising of short inspirational talks celebrating silent achievers and innovators from the sector. With speakers highlighting stories of their endurance, breakthroughs and innovations, the purpose is to celebrate the awesomeness of the sector and spread the positive role it plays in nation building.

GALLOPPER FEATURES AGGREGATOR
In June 2015, we began our online features aggregator, at Gallopper.com We feature professionals, who have done truly innovative work from the industry. We also feature path breaking innovations in the industry. In just over 6 months we have done one hundred such features, and secured several thousand followers online.

WorkshopWORKSHOPS
In mid 2015, we began holding workshops. The intent of these workshops has been to spread knowledge and also effect skill development. We touched upon novel topics like Pre-Design and also popular topics like innovation and financial management

VERY GOOD SUPPORT
All of these initiatives have received very good support from followers and attendees. Corporate organisations like Godrej Interior, Pidilite, Shapoorji Pallonji, Berger Paints, Ambuja Cements, Godrej Properties, Access Work, NKGBS Bank and others have contributed in cash and in kind.

LOOKING FORWARD
Our young and energetic team is feeling very buyout this year end and feels we can do much more. Thanks to such enthusiasm, we have taken upon ourselves to achieve a few bigger challenges:

Gallopper Talks in 10 cities: Starting in January Gallopper Talks will travel to 10 cities across India and we have some speakers like Padmashree B.V. Doshi and others who we ourselves have been craving to have an audience of.
Workshop Series: We have lined up speakers like Oxford University professor John Hoffmire, Design Thinking expert Nav Qirti and others to run worshops on very novel topics.
Gallopper Jobs: A career growth portal will be launched shortly at www.Gallopper.com/jobs/ making it a rare portal focused on the construction and building industry.
Marketplace: We also want to effect business generation for our followers and supporters and working on creating a marketplace for products and services.Jobs

We are scaling — deep, wide and broad and building an ecosystem of support and collaboration for the sector. All of this only serves to remind us that people and companies have entrusted a great deal of faith in us, which we don’t take lightly. There’s much more to do in the world if we are to see deep-rooted change happen and we are raring to make 2016 count for more. After all our motto is “Do Good-Relax.” Have a happy and prosperous 2016!

Yours sincerely,
